Anne Flanagan

BSC, MSC, MVB

Anne, a graduate from UCD, opened Portarlington Veterinary Centre in 2018.

Previous to this she spent time working in Northern Ireland before returning home to work in Laois in 2016.

In her spare time, she is kept busy with her golden retriever Ellie and her rescue cat Luna.

Cathy Ford

MVB

Cathy is from Ennis, Co. Clare, and qualified from UCD in 1999. She has spent most of her working life in Mixed Practice here in the Midlands, before specialising in Companion Animal Medicine in 2009. She loves animals, and the outdoor life, and lives on a farm with her partner and family, where they breed pedigree cattle and sheep. Her extended family include a 3-legged old aged pensioner Collie, a cheeky Boston Terrier, a rescue cat, a fat pony, and a cute turtle!

Ciara

RVN

Ciara graduated as a veterinary nurse from TUS Athlone in 2023. Ciara has been a part of the Portarlington Veterinary Centre team since her first placement with us in 2021.

Ciara enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a special interest in preventative canine dental health and anaesthesia. In her spare time, she loves to walk her two dogs, Ruby and Luna. She also has a rescue cat called Tess.

Honor Burns Mooney

RVN
Qualified as a registered veterinary nurse from University College Dublin in 2023. As a student, Honor completed all her placement since transition year up to graduation with us and during that time discovered a huge love for small animal nursing.
She enjoys all aspects of nursing, particularly patient care, and surgical nursing. She has three dogs a bichon called Buddy and two retrievers named Nala and Willow.

Glenda Allman

Receptionist / Administrator

Glenda is the first point of contact for our clients and their furry friends. She has a varied background in administration and joined our team early 2021.

She looks after all our administration needs and is always ready to greet you in a friendly and compassionate manner. She owns a crazy Jack Russell called Marvel.

Daphne Devoy

Dog Groomer

Daphne is our professional dog groomer. She has 8 years experience and has successfully run her own dog grooming business “Shampooch” since 2016. She has been working alongside Portarlington Veterinary Centre since 2018.

Daphne volunteers for many animal charities and owns 4 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats. She also fosters many animals for local charities.
